What’s her deal?
As a child, no school day was more special to Anna than children’s theatre day. A local group of traveling performers would set up in the elementary school cafetorium and tell exciting stories with costumes, puppets, magic, songs, and dances that were unforgettable. These touring shows helped Anna realize that even grown-ups can play, and instilled in her just how magical live theatre can be. As she grew up, Anna had the privilege of performing in many different capacities. Ultimately, she earned her B.A. in Theatre Performance with a Minor in K-12 Education. In the short time since her graduation, Anna has become increasingly invested in making performing arts geographically and financially accessible for all. She believes that every child deserves to experience the magic of quality live theatre, and as a result, has set her sights on writing a series of affordable children’s shows to be performed at public schools and libraries.
